How TechRewire uses cookies and similar storage
TechRewire uses cookies, local browser storage, server logs, and similar technologies to keep the website working, remember privacy choices, support account sessions when enabled, protect forms, and measure site performance when optional analytics is accepted.
Necessary storage
Necessary storage is required for core website functions and cannot be turned off through the cookie settings panel.
- Consent preference: the techrewire_cookie_consent cookie stores your necessary and analytics choices, consent version, Global Privacy Control status, and update time for up to one year.
- Security and delivery: hosting and security systems may use request logs, headers, or temporary storage to deliver pages, route traffic, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and keep the website available.
- Forms: necessary storage or server-side checks may be used to prevent duplicate submissions, reduce spam, and support reliable form handling when production form workflows are connected.
- Accounts: if authentication is enabled, session cookies or similar storage may be used to keep signed-in users authenticated and protect private account or admin areas.
Optional analytics
Optional analytics is off by default. TechRewire only loads Vercel Analytics, Google Analytics 4, and Vercel Speed Insights after you accept analytics.
- Analytics may help measure page visits, approximate traffic patterns, device or browser information, page performance, web vitals, and high-level interactions.
- Consent-aware event tracking may record navigation clicks, form-start events, form-submit events, and similar website interactions after analytics consent.
- Optional analytics is used to improve the website, understand which pages are useful, and troubleshoot performance issues.
Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, TechRewire honors it by keeping optional analytics off and showing a notice in the cookie settings experience. When Global Privacy Control is detected, analytics controls may be disabled so optional analytics remains off.
Third-party services
Some cookies or similar technologies may be set by third-party service providers when those services are active. These may include hosting, analytics, authentication, scheduling, payment, email, spam protection, media storage, or support tools. Third-party providers are responsible for their own technologies and privacy practices.
- Vercel may process analytics, speed, hosting, deployment, and storage information depending on the services enabled.
- Google Analytics may set cookies or similar technologies and process page visits and interaction events after analytics consent.
- Neon authentication or database services may support account and admin workflows if those features are enabled.
- Payment, scheduling, email, or spam-protection providers may set their own cookies or process related data if those workflows are connected.
Managing your choice
You can accept optional analytics, reject non-essential storage, or reopen Cookie preferences from the footer at any time. Rejecting optional analytics does not affect necessary site functionality.
- Accept all: allows necessary storage and optional analytics.
- Reject non-essential: keeps necessary storage only and prevents optional analytics from loading.
- Manage settings: lets you review available cookie categories before saving a choice.
- Browser controls: you can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings, but some necessary website functions may not work as expected.
Changes to this policy
TechRewire may update this Cookie Policy when website features, service providers, cookie names, retention periods, or legal requirements change.
